Question of the day

We had a relatively unproductive day. We did manage to go outside for about an hour. The big boys were bouncing off the walls, and we needed to get out before they spent the whole day in time-out. It worked!! They were much better behaved when we came in.

At bedtime tonight, Charles asked the question of the day, actually questions of the day.
Charles, "What if we had no food, or sink, or pans, or stove?"
Mom, " What would we do if didn't have any of those?"
Henry, "We could buy food."
Charles, "We would have no glass."
Henry, "We could buy vegetables and plant them in the garden and grow food. And, we could buy a cow for milk."

Next question"
Charles, " What if our silverware were corn?"
Mom, "What would we do if our silverware were corn?"
Charles, "I would have to eat my spoon."

These were asked with all seriousness and after a great deal of thought. I've gotten very good at keeping a straight face.

Sorry, no pictures today. We have some but will post tomorrow.
